• WSU Peru Mission Trip

Laura Hahn ARNP and other WSU faculty took 22 students to Peru on an international Health Care mission this May. Nursing, pharmacy and physical therapy students were choosen on a selectve basis to participate. During their three weeks, five clinics were done and over seven hundred patients were served in the jungles of Iquitos. Students worked with faculty in several areas, strengthening their clinical skills and learning to work with other disciplines in health care. The response from the Peruvian people was overwhelming and the trip was life changing for all involved. In addition to the clinics, students and faculty visited agencies, and schools to learn more about the health care system in Peru.
